What to Expect

Your first acupuncture treatment will take approximately 90 minutes. This will ensure your acupuncturist enough time to fully assess your health, answer your questions, and ensure you experience a fully relaxing session. Please have a snack or a light meal at least one hour before treatment, as treatment should not be taken on an empty stomach.

 

Please bring with you

• Loose-fitting and comfortable clothing that allows access to your arms and legs.

• Any questions you may have, we will try to answer them as best as we can.

 

Acupuncture is relatively painless, but not without sensation. You will able to feel the “Qi” or energy at certain needle insertion points. You may feel heaviness, numbness, tingling, pressure, or soreness at these points, but these sensations are completely normal, and should not keep you from being able to fully relax during your treatment.

 

Please arrive 15 minutes early to fill out new patient registration forms in the office.
