Auricular Acupuncture

What Is Auricular Acupuncture?

Auricular acupuncture, also known as ear acupuncture or battlefield acupuncture, is a specialized technique rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). In TCM, the ear is considered a microsystem of the entire body and is traditionally illustrated as an upside-down fetus, with different areas of the ear corresponding to different parts and functions of the body.

Our Approach to Auricular Therapy

At Benefit Acupuncture, we offer a gentle, needle-free form of auricular therapy using small herbal seeds called Wang Bu Liu Xing (Vaccaria seeds) or tiny magnetic pellets. These are placed on selected acupuncture points on the outer ear and secured with small adhesive patches.

Potential Benefits of Auricular Therapy

Auricular therapy may provide complementary support for a variety of wellness goals, including:

  • Pain Management: Supports relief from back pain, neck pain, joint discomfort, arthritis-related discomfort, and other musculoskeletal conditions.

  • Stress & Anxiety: Encourages relaxation and may help reduce feelings of stress and anxiety.

  • Sleep Support: Promotes relaxation and supports healthier sleep habits.

  • Cravings & Withdrawal Support: May provide complementary support for smoking cessation and managing substance-related cravings.

  • Weight Management: Supports appetite awareness and food-craving management as part of a comprehensive wellness plan.
